The Contacts Tab is a place at the Group/Region or Site where you can add and view contact information for your program. Contacts are not the same as Users. A Contact can be added to Maalka, even if they do not have an account.
If your program does not have a contacts tab and you feel it is needed, ask your program administrator to have it set up.
At the site level, the Contacts Tab displays all contacts in each site in card form. The email address and phone number for each individual is shown in the header, but if you need to view more information about that person, you can click the down arrow next to their name.
All information for a contact will be displayed and can be edited directly if you have the correct privilages.
Below the contact cards in the Contacts Tab is the Contact History table. This is where you can log and view attempts at contacting the individuals from the list above.
You can directly edit the table and click Save to update your log.
The Group (Regional) Contacts Tab will usually be located here, depending on program configuration:
You can edit all individual contacts from here, or you can add or remove contacts from a site. If you know the name of the contact whose information you need to edit, it is best to use the By Individual sub-section.
Once you find your contact, select Edit Contact from the menu button.
This will open up a form that will allow you to edit the contact's information. You can also edit which sites the contact will be associated with by checking or unchecking sites from the site list.
If a site is checked, the contact's information card will appear in the site's contact page. If you want them to appear in all sites, check the box next to Site Name.
Adding a new contact is a similar process. Click the Add New Contact button from the "Manage Contacts by Individual" section, fill out the form, and add the contact to any number of sites.
If you need to manage your contacts list in a site, you can either navigate to that site's contacts tab, or go to "Manage Contacts by Site."
Here you can edit which contacts appear in a site's Contacts Tab. Click on the menu icon and select, View/Edit Contacts.
You can add or remove all existing contacts from the site by checking or unchecking them from the list.
