A Baseline appears on the Performance Targets report and on Analytics charts in the form of labelled, solid line. This represents the value of the site’s performance goal against which all progress is measured. Baselines can be set for energy, water, and emissions intensities as well as for other resource types.
Users with Global Level access will be able to set targets and baselines on all relevant charts for every site in the program. The tool to edit baselines for your sites' Performance Report is located in the Edit Baselines tab under the Site section.
If no baselines or targets have been set for one of the resource types displayed on the menu, you will be prompted to set one by clicking the Set Baseline button.
This will open a modal with the following options:
Type: The type of baseline selected will determine if the baseline is set automatically for all sites, or manually for each site. The Custom option will create a table of all sites in your program with a blank cell for each site's baseline, which you can use to input values manually. The Historic option will calculate a baseline for each site based on data from a set period of time. If you select this option, you will still be able to override the generated baseline using the custom baseline cell after the table is created.
Unit: This is the unit for all baseline and target values entered into the table.
Name: You may set a custom name to appear over the baseline on all applicable charts. This is not required, and if nothing is entered the label will simply appear as, "Baseline."
Once the baseline is set, a table will appear under the selected resource type with all sites in your program listed in alphabetical order. If you would like to add baselines and targets for other resource types, select the resource type from the dropdown menu next to the header, and select the Set Baseline option for that resource.
Once a table is generated, you can use the search bar to search for a specific site, or select the filter button to filter sites by city, property type, or group. If you would like the table to show more information about each of your sites, you can use the Add New Column dropdown to add a new (non editable) field.
To change a Site's Baseline value, simply click on the Custom Baseline cell for that site, enter the new value, and click Save. If a Historic Baseline has been set, this cell will override the generated value.
The tool to edit baselines for your group or global Performance Reports is located in the Edit Baselines tab under the Group section.
If no baselines or targets have been set for one of the resource types displayed on the menu, you will be prompted to set one by clicking the Set Baseline button.
To edit or delete a baseline, click the Edit icon next to the baseline header on the table. You will be able to edit the Baseline Type, Unit, or Custom Name or remove the baseline from all charts.
Users with Site Level access will be able to override the baseline value for each resource type within a specific site. To change a baseline inside a site, you must first navigate to that site. The table to edit targets and baselines for the Performance Report is located in the Edit Baselines tab.
Unlike the Edit Baselines tab at the Global Level, users cannot alter any of the baseline settings. They can, however, change the baseline value that appears on the report by editing the Custom Baseline cell. If a custom baseline value is updated here, it will update the table on the Global level as well.
