The Site Level Data Quality tab allows users to easily identify any errors or mistakes that might negatively affect the quality of data entered from the spreadsheets in the Accounts section. If you do not know how to locate specific sites within your program, see the article on Locating Sites.
At the Site level, all accounts are listed under their account types: Energy, Water, and Site. You can switch between them by selecting the corresponding button from the top menu.
Note: Currently, rules cannot be set for emissions, transportation, waste, or weather, so these Types do not appear in the Data Quality tab.
The color of the icons in these buttons indicates whether or not there is an error present in at least one of the accounts associated with each category. Red indicates that there is an error, while blue indicates there are no errors.
All accounts and analytics within the selected category are listed below. In the right column, you can easily see if an account or analytics set has any errors within its data by checking for a "Fail" or "Success" message. If you would like to see more details about which data quality checks are failing, you can hover over the exclamation icon. For an explanation of these rules, see the Data Quality Rules Definitions page.
The buttons next to each account allow you to edit or view the data associated with it. An edit icon means you can open a spreadsheet to directly update data, while a view icon means the spreadsheet cannot be edited.
Selecting the edit button will open a data entry spreadsheet for an account. This is the same spreadsheet that can be accessed from the Accounts section, and any changes made to the data will update the account for the site. When you open a spreadsheet with a data quality error, you may notice the error right away, or you may need to use the errors dropdown to navigate to the highlighted entry.
If you hover over a red-shaded cell, a popup will appear with more information about the error or errors associated with that data. In the example shown below, it looks like the account has not been updated for more than 30 days.
To fix this, we will need to add an entry with a more recent date.
Once this has been updated, click save. If your updates have corrected the error, all cells will turn white and the errors dropdown will disappear. After closing the modal, the account will receive a "Pass" message, and if all other accounts are clear of errors, the button for the Data Quality category will turn blue as well.
